Life in Room 4.

 We are getting to know and use our classroom spaces.The library corner is a favourite !

Our numbers  are growing!!

 The Superstar has an important role in our daily routine !

 We continue to focus on mixed media during our art sessions. All sorts of materials went into the making of our delicious hamburgers.!

 We had a great visit from the kindy.

 We have begun working on our rainbow words.

 Room 4 really enjoy reading big books in a shared setting. 'Pirate Polly' is one of our favourites-we drew our own 'Pirate Polly' pictures using pastels and then washing with colourful dye.

We are talking about how we can look after our planet by reducing, reusing and recycling.There are so many items we throw away every day.We have started a 'rubbish mountain' in Room 4  to help us see what we are actually throwing away.

Week 3

Zealandia

We had a fabulous trip to Zealandia on Tuesday. Our guide Perry told us all about the fence which surrounds Zealandia and we were able to spot some beautiful birds. Come into Room 4 and see our lovely mural and stories about our trip.

 

 We have created some beautiful art using different types of paper.

 We are starting to tell our stories, draw our stories and begin to write our stories using the sounds we can hear in the words. Great work Room 4.

 We are enjoying the writing area in our classroom-holding the pens correctly and doing a great job learning to form letters.

 

Room 4 -2018

Room 4  is up and running ! Welcome to all our new students and families. Our routines are being established and we are getting used to school life !

This year we will all work together - we are all moving in the same direction-we are all in the canoe together! 

 We are learning to : Write our numbers to 10.

Count and make patterns to 10.

 Read quietly from our book boxes.

 At circle time we are learning to:

Look at the person who is speaking.

Listen respectfully to the person who is speaking.

Speak in a clear voice.
